something i would like to learn

  One thing that i would like to learn is slap, it is a technique to play bass that consists in two parts, the first is hit the string instead press it letting it hit the mast (thumbing), and then pull the string to produce a percussed sound (poping). Is mostly used in funk music, and i want to learn it to make covers of “primus” (and other bands that use this tecknique) a band that play funk metal because i´v always consider amazing the style of Les Claypool to play, but when i tried to work out his songs i just couldn´t imitate the sound.

    I actually don´t know how easy it would be but i guess thet i only need time, because i think that in internet i can find lessons or watch videos about slap, and if i practice a lot i finally reach a good level of slap, and when i become proficient i would like to search more bands that use this technique and learn how to dance meanwhile i play, bacause i think that it must feel great to do both things at the same time, but obviously i have to dominate the slap first.

    Once i play slap in bass fluently i also would like to rustle up alternate between diferent techniques.
